One of a row, sitting within 0.25 mile walk of a good range of shops, inns and restaurants, it is ideally located for exploring the historic city of York, 12 miles, where visitors will find the magnificent minster, Jorvik Centre, Railway Museum and wonderful shopping among its myriad delights. The famous Burnby Lily Gardens are just 1 mile away, whilst Castle Howard, Sledmere, Flamingo Land theme park and fascinating Eden Camp are all within easy reach. For keen walkers, the Wolds Way passes nearby, golf is available 2 miles away and Pocklington boasts an indoor swimming pool as well as a thriving arts centre for excellent live performances, films and exhibitions.
